Flying with young travelers? La Costeña welcomes families onboard and offers flexible options for infants and children. Review the guidelines below to ensure a safe and smooth travel experience for you and your little ones.

Infant Travel (Under 2 Years Old)

Lap Infant Fare

Infants under the age of 2 may travel on an adult’s lap with a reduced infant fare , which is 10% of the adult ticket price .

Note: This option does not include a seat or baggage allowance.

Infants Requiring a Seat

If you'd prefer your infant to travel in their own seat:

  • You must purchase a full-fare ticket at 100% of the adult fare (restrictions may apply).
  • A separate seat must be requested at the time of booking.

Traveling with Two Infants

La Costeña allows you to travel with two babies:

  • One infant can be held by the adult on a 10% infant fare.
  • The second infant must occupy a seat and have a full-fare ticket .

Ticketing & Age Restrictions

  • All infants must have a ticket to board the aircraft, regardless of fare type.
  • Infants younger than 7 days old will not be accepted without a medical certificate that confirms the reason for travel.

Baby Articles & Strollers

  • Collapsible strollers may be allowed in the cabin only if space permits.
  • If not, strollers must be checked as:
    • ○ Part of your baggage allowance, or
    • ○ An extra item, subject to excess baggage charges.
